perfect mix of old world comfort and class with first class food

Amazing fresh seafood, lovely hotel standard accommodation but with more personality. I loved relaxing by the open fire with a glass of wine after dinner! We did the Ahernes taster menu - well worth it. Really enjoyed the horse riding on the beach too. Overall Ahernes is a very well run establishment with a high standard restaurant and lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

The weather was not kind to us when we stayed at Aherne's at the end of October, this meant that we spent more time in the hotel and around the bar than we mighjt have normally chosen to. That was no hardship i must add, the hospitality and friendship shown by management and staff would be difficult to equal anywhere in the world. A great atmosphere created and enjoyed by local's and visitors frequenting bar and restaurant areas with healthy exchange of opinions, jokes and discussion, a most pleasureable experience we will return!
